A damaging digital divide has been highlighted and exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis.
We believe that all children and families should have access to distance-learning and critical social services. But in low-income communities, students without digital devices are putting their health at risk just to borrow a cell phone or laptop from other households.
That’s why we are asking you to please consider donating new or gently-used digital devices, or cash, to Centinela Youth Services’ Campaign to Bridge the Digital Divide.
Your gift will help bridge the digital divide, enable our youth to continue their education and supportive counseling during this and any future social isolation event, and safeguard the health of students and families throughout Los Angeles County.
Examples of needed equipment include: iPhones (version 6 or newer); Samsung Galaxy or Android phones (2015 or newer), iPads, Chromebooks, Windows laptops, and Macbooks.
Cash donations can also be made by check to: Centinela Youth Services, 110 South La Brea Ave #450, Inglewood, CA 90301. Your contributions are fully tax-deductible to the extent of the law (please consult your tax professional).
If you have any questions please contact us at (310) 970-7702.
Thank you!
