Join Us in Bridging the Digital Divide
A damaging digital divide has been highlighted and exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis.
We believe that all children and families should have access to distance-learning and critical social services. But in low-income communities, students without digital devices are putting their health at risk just to borrow a cell phone or laptop from other households.
That’s why we are asking you to please consider donating new or gently-used digital devices, or cash, to Centinela Youth Services’ Campaign to Bridge the Digital Divide.
Your gift will enable our youth to continue their education and counseling during this event, and safeguard the health of students and families throughout the city and county.
Examples of needed equipment include: iPhones (version 6 or newer); Samsung Galaxy or Android phones (2015 or newer), iPads, Chromebooks, Windows laptops, and Macbooks.
UPDATE: We are now broadening our campaign goals to address the dire, COVID-related financial need among the vulnerable families we serve. Our new goal is to raise $30,000 to provide gift cards for food, hotel vouchers for shelter, clothing for children, and other essential needs. Please join us in helping our struggling families and children get through the COVID-19 crisis.
Thank you!
